[Hardy-l] Internal dating of JO

The internal dating of *Jude* is contemporary, Philip. That is, the 1890s. 
Most of Hardy's novels are contemporaneous - the most notable exceptions 
being *The Trumpet-Major* and *The Mayor of Casterbridge.*
