[Hardy-l] Folk traditions

Good -- you'll find lots of meaty stuff in Hardy's "Facts From Newspapers, 
Histories, Biographies, & Other Chronicles."  And because TH gives the 
provenance (usually) you can then check the primary source to see what else 
he was reading.
