Thanks for this info, Ann. I completely agree with you regarding Firor's
book which I first turned to about three years ago. I am finding it more
useful to work from Phythian-Adams and Burke and other popular culture or
folklore specialists  then relate these back to Hardy. I have contacted you
off-list in more depth regarding my thoughts.
