[Hardy-l] Dorset Folklore

I'm just catching up with this topic after returning from holiday.
 
The standard work on Dorset folklore is Dorsetshire Folklore by J  S Udal 
first published in 1922 and since reissued by the Toucan Press in 1970  (my copy) 
and more recently I believe by Dorset Books in 1989. This was of  course too 
late as a source for most of Hardy's writings, but conversely Udal  often 
cites Hardy as his source.
 
Hardy is listed as a subscriber to the original edition, so it must have  
been a fairly late addition to the Max Gate library.
