[Hardy-l] A genuine Hardy manuscript?

Interesting -- it's close. I only have TH handwriting samples from the 70s
(20 years earlier) --the distinctive characteristics of which, not apparent
in the "Wives' Voices" sample, are as follows:

No looped 'l's as in 'unblenchingly.' No curly 'y's as in 'already' and
'blearily.' In my sample the 'g's are formed more like 'p's -- noticeably
different from the 'g' in 'guns.' Some formations are similar though --
the uppercase 'T's for example. But the hand in 'Wives' Voices' is far
clumsier and less flowing than in my sample and there is a distinctive use
of loops where my sample shows very few indeed.

If I were a prospective buyer I think I would want a handwriting expert to
verify authenticity.
Cheers,
Rosemarie
