Glad someone enjoyed it.
Mind you: Polly Walker is always worth a watch.

  Thanks Rosemarie.

I know The Woodlanders has been on television before, but I always managed
to miss it, so was pleased to catch it last night. I thought it was good,
better than I expected, pretty faithful to the novel. It runs for about
ninety minutes which is at least thirty too short, consequently the
characters and storyline, whilst quite accurate, are not developed enough.
The scenery is beautiful and yes, the changing seasons are noticeable and do
enhance the film. The ending was somewhat abrupt and not how the book ended
which was disappointing. Overall though I enjoyed it, in my opinion it is
one of the better attempts to transfer Hardy to film.

  Kind regards,
  Tony
