[Hardy-l] Jude the Obscure: Page Proofs

I wonder what the relationship is between the page proofs that are up
for auction and the page proofs with revisions in the Signet Library
in Edinburgh? It's been at least a decade since I looked at these
proofs, and more than that since a friend (and former graduate
student) looked at them.
Surely it's not the case that the Signet is "getting rid of" part of
their holdings?
Simon Gatrell, in Hardy the Creator, provides a generous discussion
of proofs for Jude (pp. 157-64; 254-55.
