Don't be so hard on eBayers, Bill. . .my late sister used to make her living selling books on eBay, and she hardly ever read what she sold!
 
And if I may make a guilty confession, I apparently had a scotoma for years, because I could have sworn Hardy wrote a book called Far from the MaddENing Crowd.  Guess that just makes me Jude the Absurd. . .!
