[Hardy-l] DVD of FFMC

Like many others in North America, I was excited to read that Far From the Madding Crowd (starring Julie Christie) was being released on DVD, and I immediately went to amazon.com to put it in my basket.  Then I read some reviews on amazon.co.uk relating to the quality of the production on DVD (not the film itself but the sound track, screen ratio, etc).  If the quality in the NA release is similar to the UK version, we could well be disappointed, especially those of us who really loved that film adaptation.  JoAnna S. MinkProfessor Emerita of English
