A snippet from today's Metro newspaper....

''A lavish adaptation of Tess of the D'Urbervilles is set to be the next 
period drama filmed by the BBC, the Corporation announced yesterday. Fired 
by the success of Cranford and Sense and Sensibility, filming will start 
in the spring for broadcast in the autumn. The role of Tess has yet to be 
cast for the four-part adaptation - which will be written by David 
Nicholls, who scripted Cold Feet.''
