[Hardy-l] A Lovely Surprise!

Dear Betty-

I believe that 'Jude" is one of the magnificent antique English roses
developed by David Austen.  The Austen roses are truly sublime -- no other
rose can match their color, form and fragrance.  I have a deep red 'Tess of
the d'Urbervilles' in my garden so Austen obviously understands Hardy
symbolism!
