Yes -- this is true. But, aside from infatuation (which some would call an
addiction or unreasoned passion) these are terms *descriptive* of one word
- "love." In other words we have to modify the one word we have. This isn't
the case with killing. If English is "mainly analytic and generally avoids
stringing morphemes together into compound words" this still doesn't
explain the dozens of words we have for killing and only one for love.
