[Hardy-l] Tess' freedom

'Rime' is one of my favorite words. Bet TH uses it, just can't remember where...certainly in the poetry.

There's a word for a snow field...frequently an answer in crossword puzzles...what is that word?

I like TH's summation of love that is found in the last paragraphs of FFMC...

and I think we should include 'passion' in the repetoire.  An important question underlying the entire work of giving us Tess is, to me: Who loved Tess? truly, for herself, unconditionally.
