Dear all-

In another instance of Hardyan coincidence in light of this month's POTM, I
just uploaded a new review of John Hughes's *'Ecstatic Sound': Music and
Individuality in the Work of Thomas Hardy, *written by Prof. Drew Edward
Davies, a musicologist at Northwestern University. Drew teaches a course
entitled "British Art Songs" that encompasses settings of Hardy's poems by
both Finzi and Britten. Drew's interdisciplinary commentary offers fresh
insights on not only Hughes's book but on to Hardy's work.

The review can be accessed on TTHA's Members' Research Resources Page
through:

New TTHA members are always welcome and can sign up at:

Enjoy!

All my best,
Kathie
