i.e. exactly what they said at the time about the original novel. I
thought it was pretty good, if anything striving to be too close to the
original (e.g. the ending). A little indebted at times to Polanski,
especially all the mist. Gemma Arterton certainly looked the part (even
if she didn't quite sound it). Her desire for Angel certainly came
across.
