[Hardy-l] Fowles on Dorset

I enjoyed every minute of this - thank you Patrick.  Some of the voices 
were slightly inaudible but maybe that's because they were voices of the 
elders, and frail.  Pity the interviewer didn't mention that Fowles' 
*French Lieutenant's Woman* was written partly to "bury Hardy" (I can't 
remember Fowles' exact words -- but he felt "possessed" by Hardy and needed 
to exorcise him). I've always thought F's short stories excellent / his 
finest work.
