[hardy-l] Response to the general reminder

I cannot help but presume that it was possibly my reply (to that of another on this forum)which evoked the reminder from Betty. Therefore (if it was my post), I apologize for any wording that may have been interpreted as non-Hardy or as negatively, personal. It was meant as objective and in direct connection to staying on tract with Hardy's novel, Tess Of The D'Urbervilles. The ending (a happier one would have seemed more plausible, to me) was the specific suject of the reply, not allusions to other characters involved in hypothetical endings in other books or from the imaginations of others.. Sorry, if there was any offence taken...none was meant.
