[hardy-l] Democracy

Certainly, carefully historicised readings appeal most to me.  But so too does the democracy of my profession.  Would that more could join.

People interested in pursuing these sorts of questions may be interested in (re)visiting Roland Barthes' landmark essay 'Death of the Author' (1967) and Foucault's 'What is an Author' (1970), both in most good lit theory collections.
