Happy New Year!  Let us hope that 2009 is a year of great joy and many

I have just uploaded an interesting new review of Michiko Seimiya's
dissertation that has been recently translated into English; the book
was reviewed by Betty Cortus.

The review reflects the international interest in Hardy and offers a
broader view of the Japanese perspective on Victorian studies.
