In response to Roy's post, I want to point out to members that the
Forum is an open, egalitarian discussion group, in which scholars and
non-scholars, who have an interest in Hardy, are encouraged to freely
speak their minds. Although some subjects may draw long and
continuing arguments, which may or may not be of interest to every
subscriber, it is each members privilege to participate or not, and
those who find a particular discussion tedious can simply delete
these messages as long as the heading accurately indicates a post's
content. The only criteria for posting to this list, is that members
show respect for other members and their opinions, and that the posts
be relevant to Hardy and the study of his life, work, or reputation.

With Good Wishes,
Betty.
