That's beautifully expressed Keith!

And to follow up upon an earlier post where you speak of the force of 
Tess's last words, "I am ready" -- apotheosis comes full circle in the 
sense that the words are not only utterly moving in their stillness, and 
beautiful in their simplicity but they are also the words of majesty, 
nobility (of soul) and greatness of stature - recalling not only the last 
deliverance and Christ, or Socrates, but of noble souls throughout history 
who turn to face their executioners with peace and dignity.
