[hardy-l] Hardy query from Arvind

Dear Arvind...
 
Welcome! I'm newto the forum, myself. I became a Hardy fan 38 years ago while in college at Brigham Young University. There, I began doing a lot of reading of novels and fell in love with Hardy and of course, Twain. Hardy's stories are compeling to read and his description is out of this world. He's a slow read but, that just makes it a more enjoyable experience for all of his talent, as a gifted author. His novels are a benchmark to measure others' work by. (I like Larry McMurtry a lot, too...he is great at characters and description...but, not quite as good as Hardy).
