Part of it is in the Penguin edition. It's towards the end of Chapter 12, the first chapter of the "Maiden No More" section: p. 82. But in the Penguin, the phrasing is simply "succumbed to him, and that was all." The "confused surrender" phrasing you have is that of 1892 and later, and can be found in both the Clarendon and the Oxford World's Classics editions: for a description of these changes, see p. lvii of your Penguin edition ("History of the Text").
