[hardy-l] Tess ending - apology & correction

Carolyn McGrath has just queried the wording of the Graphic citation which I posted this morning.

Apologies but in my haste, I made two errors. 
It is not 'anti' but 'arch' -satirist & I omitted 'out'.

The final sentence of the Graphic version of Tess actually reads:


"Justice" was done, and Time, the Arch-satirist, had had his joke out with Tess.

Sorry for this extra muddying of the waters & thanks Carolyn.
