Jumping the gun here (as the one guilty of introducing "parody" in to this
conversation)

I was -- as I said earlier - thinking of parodies such as Hardy's "Pink
Frock" ( a parody of an empty-headed "doll"'s mind-set-- you can almost
hear the affected "fwock"...)

I favour this definition on WIKI: "Another critic,
<http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Simon_Dentith&action=edit&redlink=1>Simon
Dentith (2000: 9), defines parody as "any cultural practice which provides
a relatively <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polemic>polemical allusive
imitation of another cultural production or practice."

I feel burlesque is rather far-fetched in this case.

David Havird asks of "Minute Before Meeting" - a parody of what? I
suggested earlier a mock love "sonnet" written with barely concealed naivety.

Any takers?
Best
